sea serpents.

with everybody well and truly preparing for another round of folk-pop loveliness (i've been hearing amazing things about the N&TW album), i should probably introduce Babe Shadow.
they make summery, folk-tinged pop songs about being in love, and manage to combine that with a slight sea-shanty feel. winning formula no doubt. they're really really great and i really really like them.

Babe Shadow - Sea Serpents

they have been and are continuing to gig like crazy in London so catch them while you can!

Hi, I came across your page through a website that listed music blogs. Lately I've been getting into dance music (lots of Passion Pit, MGMT, Cut Copy, etc.) so I thought I'd check it out. Right away I saw that you're from England, (I'm from America) and I thought it would be really cool to check out your opinions on music and see what kind of stuff you're listening to. Two bands I've heard from Europe: The All New Adventures of Us and Noah and the Whale are bands that I really like and I was wondering if you'd be able to recommend any other bands with a similiar sound. Either way I'll be following your blog to hear what the new music scene is blooming into. I really like Babe Shadow so far. I've been listening to them the whole time I've been typing this. Have you had a chance to see them live yet?
